Makenzee started her first day of Junior High as a "Sevey!"
In case you aren't current on the latest lingo, that's what they're calling 7th graders these days!
I was absolutely forbidden to walk her to her locker!
She didn't care that I was sad that
I couldn't take a picture of her sitting at her desk!
The school sign is our new location,
at least for now!
I'll probably be forbidden to be on school grounds
by the time she's in high school!
Makenzee loved her first day of school!
She didn't get lost and she wasn't late to class!
She made some new friends and got reacquainted with old ones!
She liked four of her teachers,
loved three of them
and is a little afraid of one of them!
Junior high is awesome!
At least for her!
I dropped her off at the door
and watched her walk down the sidewalk.
She turned the corner and disappeared.
A burning lump began to grow in my throat.
Tears began to run down my face!
Before long, I was sobbing!
My little Angel Face is growing up!
