Our first day at Disneyland.
The last time we were here,
Makenzee was 7 and Kambree was 2 months old.
Their knight in shining armor!
Unfortunately he wasn't able to save Kambree on Snow White's Scary Adventure. We made the mistake of putting her on that ride very first, which caused sheer panic and terror for her the rest of the trip. Although reluctant at first, she quickly discovered that she loved the Merry Go Round and that is where she wanted to spend the rest of the day!
Jonah loved the Merry Go Round too!
We finally talked Kambree into going on It's A Small World and the poor little thing was so scared! Until she got inside! Then she decided that THIS was her very favorite ride! She waved at all of the small dancing children on the entire ride and on every ride after that! It was so cute!
But then Kambree discovered the Princesses and THAT is where she wanted to spend the rest of the day! In fact, that's where she wanted to spend the rest of the trip! She wanted to live in the castle with the Princesses and never come out!
Brynlee was so very excited to see Tinker Bell and Snow White! They are her very favorite Princesses in the whole world! She hugged them and talked to them, but mostly she just stared at them in disbelief!
Brynlee didn't like standing in line for two hours just to meet a Princess, so she ditched us and went with Burt and Makenzee to ride the "big kid" rides! Did I mention that they walked on almost every ride they wanted to, while we stood in line for 45 minutes to take a 2 minute ride and two hours to hug a Princess in Fantasyland!
Makenzee was a good sport and tolerated Fantasyland for most of the day but by late afternoon, she was out of there! Can you believe she took her 3 year old sister on Tower of Terror! Can you believe that Burt allowed this! Can you believe that it was Brynlee's favorite ride and she wanted to do it again and again and again!
Sweet little Jonah loved his 1st trip to Disneyland! He spent a lot of time in his stroller, my arms or Dad's shoulders. He was so good! There was so much for him to look at and he spent most of the day pointing at things and saying, "Oh, oh!" with excitement! He loved every single ride he went on! He giggled and clapped his hands and had a great time! He was fascinated with the characters, mostly because he wanted to pull on their ears and nose! Oh, and try to ignore the fact that he is wearing a girls shirt! I wanted them all to match and I didn't think you'd be able to tell, but his puffy sleeves drive me CRAZY!
When I walked up, Burt's head was up against the wall, his eyes were closed and his mouth was wide open! He swears he wasn't sleeping because that would be "dangerous for our kids" but I'm not so sure I believe him!
By the end of the night our kids were exhausted but when we got to our car, they got their second wind!
Well, most of them!
We locked ourselves out of the condo, so we just hung out in the hall until Daddy got back!
Goodnight!
