Not Quite Understanding That Less Is More

Burt told Makenzee that the older she gets, the less presents she'll have under the Christmas tree because the things she wants are much more expensive. He told her that Kam, Bryn and Jonah will look like they have more than she does because of the amount of gifts they have, but that hers will be much more expensive. She wanted an example so he said, "In the past you probably had about 40 presents under the tree and this year you might only have 15 or 20 because ipods and saddles and cowgirl boots are much more expensive than the 40 or so little gifts you've wanted in the past." She pondered what he said for awhile and then came back to him and said, "Dad, I was thinking about it, and I think I just want 40 little gifts!"
