Newborn Screening Test

Jonah's Newborn Screening Tests detected that he is Coombs Positive. My blood and his blood somehow mixed together, either during the pregnancy or during the birth process. My blood developed antibodies that started attacking his red blood cells, which could cause severe jaundice or anemia. They have to test his Bilirubin levels several times before he is released from the hospital and then again on Saturday and Monday at the pediatricians office. They are making sure that his liver is working properly and that he won't require light therapy.
